ABOUT
Dom Amoroso's basketball background exemplifies what it means to be a true student of the game. Realizing at an early age that his success on the court would be limited, Dom committed himself at an early age to becoming a student of the game. This started at Rustin High School in West Chester, where Dom served as a student manager for Coach Keith Cochran. Upon graduating high school, Dom attended La Salle University where he served as a team manager for Dr.John Giannini for one season. At the age of 20, he decided to enter the coaching ranks at the high school level and has served as an assistant coach at Overbrook and Chichester High Schools, on the grassroots circuit with the Philly Hurricanes and Philly Pride AAU programs, and having worked camps for the Philadelphia 76ers and Shoot Basketballs Not People.
The Amoroso File was started out of a need for more adequate coverage of the suburban Philadelphia high school basketball scene, particularly in Chester and Delaware Counties. Through scouting, storytelling, and interviews, Dom hopes to highlight and help promote the growing basketball scene in these areas.
